G3MSB Controller Hardware Manual¶
Welcome to the G3MSB controller hardware manual.
The Reach Technology G3MSB controller Embedded Controller supports an LCD screen resolution of up to
XXX x YYY
pixels. With the G3MSB controller, you can build a custom graphical user interface
and choose from many built-in options to communicate with the other components of
your product. The board is based on a high-speed, multi core Arm processor and can support
a variety of displays and touch sensors. This controller is oriented towards applications
that require very low cost (possibly without a display) and/or unique I/O or sensor
requirements that demand a more involved product specific daughter card.
The processor is the STM32MP157, which is a dual core implementation of the Arm Cortex-A7. This processor also features an auxiliary Cortex-M4 core that can be used for hard real-time monitoring and control tasks. The auxiliary core can also communicate directly with the embedded Linux software on the primary Cortex-A7 cores. The G3MSB controller presents various I/O interfaces on low cost connectors so your product can take advantage of them. The module consists of a single board controller which may or may not be integrated with a touch screen panel. While this module is also available as a Development Kit, generally, the G3MSG Development Kit will be a better choice for end product application design and implementation.
