Splash Screens

Splash screen image files must be in 24-bit BMP format

The G3 module supports up to two boot splash screens. The first is displayed by the u-boot boot loader and is only visible for a second or two. The second is displayed once the Linux kernel is running and will remain visible until the end product application takes over the screen. There is a short period in which the screen is blank while the kernel is initializing itself. By default, the same image is used for both splash screens.
