As discussed in more detail here, there are three options for setting up a development environment for the G3 module. The sections below contain instructions for detailed configuration of your preferred development environment.

In addition to setting up a development environment, you must, at a minimum, configure two things to develop applications for the G3 module:

  • Setup the serial debug interface

  • Setup a wired ethernet connection

Neither of these connections is absolutely required for the end product application itself. However, a wired ethernet connection will often exist in the end product architecture.
